In response to the ongoing unrest and reduced attendance in government offices, the Manipur government has taken a firm stance by introducing a "no-work, no-pay" policy. This decision aims to address the concerning trend of employees failing to report to their offices without valid reasons amidst the current state of violence in Manipur. Several government officers in Manipur have been witnessing low staff attendance. A recent circular issued by the Chief Secretary (DP) Vineet Joshi underscores the seriousness of the situation.
